The most economical may not
always be the most sound and the safest, so we want
to make sure that is. That's why I am saying, what
more would four strands of wire as opposed to an
8-foot fence? There is certainly a difference as to
what impact it might have on wildlife.
I also see that there is a big problem
with the planting of just grass to re -- I mean, to
re-vegetate some of these areas. if it acts as a
la magnet for herds of elk to come into that area,
there is no cover for elk.
The Wildlife -- Game and Fish DeFoartment
said there was a possibility that it could increase
the prospects of poaching in that area and I am very
concerned about that. We want our herds of wildlife
to be left intact. We don't want them to be easy
prey.
Why can't it be enforced that the
wildlife in that area would have some kind of cover?
A grass stand will not help an elk out with any kind
of cover. They would be more than easy prey. We
AGREN, BLANDO S BILLINGS
