131
1 Right now it's indicated that, .in the
2 submittal, that the sprinklers will be used on the
t 3 t
ili
d
a
ngs an
water trucks will be used to control
' 4 the dust. Well, if we assume that half of the
5 tailings are drying out and half are wet, so we got
' 6 the sprinklers taking care of half of them, the part
7 that's drying, I would love to see a single water
' 8 truck to go up and down and try to control t:he dust
9 on those particular areas when it starts up. It
10 cannot be done.
11 There are other measures to control
d
b
'
h
'
i
i
12 ust. It
s not go
ng to be cheap,
ut
t
s a met
od
' 13 that can definitely be done.
14 Lastly, I guess, one of my majoz
15 concerns as i review this, it was indicated in the
16 application, rightly so, that the tailings are not
' 17 tributary to the Rito Seco drainage. Very true.
18 But if you look at the maps -- and I
19 think they are buried underneath some of those maps
20 over there -- there is not a very distinct divide,

21 and if you are in a collection pond that breaches
' 22 or, heaven forbid, the embankment breaches, it's not
23 going to take too much force for that water to go
' 24 across the divide and get into the Rito Seco.
25 I think these are problems that :need to

AGREN, BLANDO 6 BILLINGS
