' 126
1 interested in is what's classified to be topsoil.
2 I would like to hear a definition eventually of
3 il
t
b
I d
't k
if
h
h
opso
,
ecause
on
now
ave more t
you
an
' 4 an inch of topsoil down there.
5 As I go through and evaluated this, the
6 method they were going to use for establishing
7 grass, a couple of questions came up. They are
' 8 going to stockpile it, quote, topsoil. The~,~ are
9 going to wait a year before they apply any western
l0 wheatgrass to stabilize that topsoil.
11 And I guess that's fine if we can be
d t
h
l
i
i
12 on
assure
hat t
ere w
ll be absolute
y no erc+s
13 occurring during that one-year time. Somehow, I
14 don't believe that will occur.
15 What would happen if there i5 not
16 sufficient topsoil for this particular project?
' 17 According to the testimony by the applicant,
18 apparently we can grow grasses, and assuming other
19 vegetation, in the tailings. I'm assuming t]nat that
20 means they are relatively neutralized, don't be
21 acidic.
1 22 So I am hoping they have the right kind
23 of grasses that would grow there. In reviewing the
' 24 vegetation -- re-vegetation plan, I am in agreement
25 that the seed mix they presented in there locks like

AGREN, BLANDO & BILLINGS

1
