AGENDA ITEM 31 - A & P MOSCH, M-84-016
Staff presentation was made by Reclamation Specialist, Carol Russell,
indicating that the operator's representative, Mr. Schoo, was present and was
requesting a fourth continuance.
Mr. Schoo addressed the board indicating that Mr. Mosch has requested that
Grasslake Minerals succeed to the proposed operation. Grasslake's feels that
if they are going to be the operator, that the mill site should also be
permitted and therefore request continuance of the item until that mill site
can be added to the permit application.
It was MOVED that the board approve the operator's request for continuance
until such time as the mill site application, File M-84-074, is ready to be
heard by the board. SECONDED and PASSED UNANIMOUSLY.
G/8`~ AGENDA ITEM 34 - ALBERT FREI, 83-33
Staff presentation was made by Reclamation Specialist, Carol Russell,
regarding a technical revision to a 130 acre sand and gravel operation. In
conjunction with the formal public hearing held earlier in this meeting, the
operator was able to respond to the adequacy problems of the request for a
technical revision. Staff recommended approval.
It was MOVED that the technical revision of Albert Frei, File No. 83-33, be
approved by the board. SECONDED and PASSED UNANIMOUSLY.
AGENDA ITEM 41 - SOUTHWEST PROPERTIES, 81-158
Staff presentation was made by Reclamation Specialist, Rocky Beavers,
regarding a 1.5 acre sand and gravel operation in La Plata County. Site
inspection was made on April 9, 1984, copy of inspection report submitted for
the board's information, ATTACHMENT L. Staff gave a brief chronology of
events leading to current situaEion, and slides were shown from site visit.
Representative from Southwest Properties responded to staff's presentation and
questions from the board.
It was MOVED that the board has reason to believe that a violation has
occurred and that the matter be set for formal public hearing at the June
Board Meeting for consideration of possible violation and possible cease and
desist order. SECONDED and PASSED UNANIMOUSLY.
