Box 442
Lyons, Colorado 80540
Re: S b N Stone, Permit No. M-84-O81
Dear Messers Vasquez, Bachli, Borton, and Norris:
It has come to our attention that there is a strong potential that each of you
may have permitted part or all of the same sites. Upon reviewing each permit
(ie.: the legal description and associated maps) it appears each site
permitted is similar.
Previous actions by the Mined Land Reclamation Board (MLRB) is to allow only
one permit per site. Therefore, if in fact the above assumption is correct,
there would be problems with previous MLRB action.
To resolve this problem, the Division requests that each of you contact one
another to discuss your permit and the area covered by your respective
permit. Upon completion of this meeting, a letter either jointly or by each
operator needs to be submitted specifying the outcome of this review. If
there is no overlap of permits, it will be necessary to submit a map showing
the relation of each permit to one another. If there is overlap, then a
decision has to be made on which entity will drop the already permitted
land(s) from their permit. This dropping of acreage must be formally approved
by the MLRB at the next monthly meeting.
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 Tel. (303) 866-3567
