The mine plan remains consistent with Permit No M-2003-021.
Mining activity will occur in 40 acre phases progressing through the current
phases in the sequence provided on the Mining Plan Map.
Mining will target the top 50 feet of the ridge; from elevation peak of
approximately 5400 feet. Material will be removed to an elevation of approximately
5350 feet. During reclamation, 3:1 slope construction will result in a return of
elevation to approximately 5375 feet at the ridge peak.
The phases will be physically marked and the specific phase sequence will be
provided in annual reports. The initial 6 phases of the operation have been
identified. Due to the size and life span of this operation, the sequence of subsequent
phases is undetermined at this time and will be communicated via annual reports.
The targeted deposits are Kim-Cascajo Complex, Manvel, Nunn and Wiley.
The surface soil series present are Kim, Manvel, Manzanola, Midway, Nunn,
Cascajo, Wiley, and Shingle. Specific information on each series is provided in
Exhibit I, Soil Information. Ranch land, LLC intends to mine approximately 80 feet
deep or to bedrock. The resulting formation will be either a depression or a
reduction in elevation to the grade surrounding the hill, depending on the depth of
the reserve.
