Box 607 <br />Cheyenne Wells, Colorado 80810 <br />RE: Cheyenne County - Reclamation Project <br />Dear Mr. Arends: <br />~II II~~I~~I~~~~~ ~I~ <br />sss <br />As you recall, the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board ("the Board") at its <br />October 1983 meeting accepted Cheyenne County's alternate reclamation plan in <br />concept, but requested follow-up on details and a report back to the Board at <br />its January 1984 meeting. <br />Since the matter is related to a civil penalty, the report will be presented <br />to the Board as the subject of a Formal Public Hearing to be held on <br />January 25, 1984, in Room 110 of 1313 Sherman St., Denver, Colorado, <br />commencing at 9:00 a.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be considered. <br />Please respond as completely as possible by that date to the letter from <br />William R. Beavers of our staff to you, dated December 30, 1983. As a <br />reminder, another copy of Mr. Beavers' letter is enclosed with this <br />correspondence. <br />In addition to the three items mentioned in Mr. Beavers' letter, the analysis <br />of the soil being used in your reclamation plan should be conducted by the <br />Soil Conservation Service itself in accordance with their usual methods. Your <br />local SCS should be more than willing to complete this. If a call from us to <br />them will assist matters please let me know.
