Long <br />FROM: ~,.{ y~ <br />Larry Routten/ jC Divivon Direcmr <br />RE: Extension of Abatement Deadline for NOV C-95-023 <br /> Seneca II-W Mine (C-82-057) <br />Please find attached, Seneca Coal Company's request to extend the abatement deadline for <br />NOV C-95-023 beyond 90 days. The NOV was issued on October 16, 1995. The original <br />abatement deadline of January 14, 1996 was extended to April 13, 1996. Abatement <br />requires approval of a permit revision and implementation of the revised plan. The revision <br />has been received by the Division and is currently being reviewed. Implementation will not <br />be possible until the 1996 field season. <br />Because the operator has submitted a revision as required by the NOV, and because <br />abatement will not be possible until weather permits, I recommend that the abatement <br />deadline for the NOV be extended for 90 days, until July 12, 1996. <br />c: Erica Crosby <br />~:~»~s~~ooiese <br />
