For flow data, see Section 3.0. <br />Air sparge Rate <br />The air sparged into the pH Adjustment Tank is provided by <br />a lobe-type blo~r, 0.4-CP-03. The four sparg~ pipes are <br />fitted with blast-gates for flow balancing, but blower <br />output is fixed. See Section 3.0 for data. The <br />pH signal is used to open and close valve A 435 in the <br />delivery line from the Sulfuric Acid Metering ump 06-PP- <br />32. The valve opens when the pH reaches 8.9 and closes when <br />the pH has fallen to 8.5. <br />Scrubber Solution pS <br />A pH probe (AE 405) is located in the scrubb r solution <br />recycle line. The pH signal is used to open or close valve <br />HV 436 in the delivery line from the Sodiu Hydroxide <br />metering Pumps 06-PP-37 or 38.
