Box 2071
Grand Junctio/n, CO 81502
Re: 32 Road Pit, Permit No. M-1985-219,
Dear Mr. Derrick:
COLORADO
DIVISION OF
MINERALS
GEOLOGY
0.ECLAM ATION•MIN ING
SAf ETY•SCIENCE
Bill Owens
Governor
Russell George
Executive Director
Ronald W. Cottony
Division Director
/v/ Natural Resource Trustee
Technical Revision TR-01, Approval.
The Division of Minerals and Geology staff has reviewed Parkerson Construction's submittal to
change the Reclamation Plan to reflect the inclusion of an overFlow structure at the north end of
a draw within the permit area. This structure is being added to alleviate concerns expressed by
the Corp of Army Engineers concerning changes to the channel of the intermittent drainage.
Staff is pleased to inform Parkerson Construction that TR-01 is aooroved as submitted. Based
on the design and materials necessary to construct the overflow structure, a total bond
recalculation is not necessary at this time as the cost appears to be minimal. A periodical
review of the bond will be conducted within the next 2 years and staff will add the construction of
the structure in at that time.
If you need additional information, please confact me at the Division of Minerals and Geology,
Grand Junction Field Office, 101 S. 3rd St., Suite 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501,
telephone no. 970.241.1117.
Sincerely,
~~G~~
G.
