mining operation and the river. In addition, the Corps identified a several acres of <br />ripazian area at the north end of Phase 2 that it considered important enough to be <br />preserved. These changes have been reflected in the new mining and reclamation <br />plans attached herein. The East Property Line to Slough Mining Area has been <br />reduced in size by 9.89 acres by moving the river buffer further to the south and from <br />preservation of additional riparian area. Several additional acres of ripazian habitat <br />adjacent to the river have also been protected in the West Property Line to West <br />Horse Fence Mining Area (Phase 1). In total, the mining permit area has been <br />reduced by 13.26 acres from a previously approved acreage of 122.96 to the current <br />acreage of 109.70. The new mining areas aze shown on the attached Sheets C 1 and <br />C2. <br />As noted above, other aspects of the plan will remain as permitted. These minor <br />Technical Revisions will allow the project to conform to the requirements and <br />stipulations imposed by other regulatory agencies and should not have any negative <br />affects on the operation of the overall mining plan.
