Denison Mines (USA) Corp. intends to
expand operations at the Sunday Mine by expanding the waste rock dump and adding 5 additional vent holes
within the proposed permit boundazy. These proposed expansion activities will increase the affected area to
17.8 acres.
Additional vent holes will be required to support future operations at the mine; however, the location of these
vent holes is currently undetermined. An additional 12.2 acres of disturbed azea is requested on this permit to
raise the total permitted area to 30.0 acres. Submittals will be provided to DRMS on a notice level basis for
approval prior to any surface disturbing activities within the Topaz Mine permit boundary.
Enclosed aze two copies of the conversion application, updated figures showing proposed surface disturbance
(new), and amended exhibits. The fee for a permit conversion ($1500.00) is also enclosed.
As noted in the attached application materials, preparation of a reclamation estimate for the additional affected
areas has been deferred to DRMS. In addition, there is one existing vent hole at the Topaz Mine that was
recently installed under a notice of intent with cone-site exploration bond. These costs will need to be
incorporated into the new reclamation estimate and subsequent bond for the Topaz Mine.
Please call me with any questions or concerns (303) 389.4136.
Sincerely,
DENISON MINES (USA) CORP.
C~ ~nd~a-d
Christy Woodwazd, PE
Environmental Engineer
CC: Denison File
Terry Wetz, Denison Mines (USA) Corp.
Enclosure.
