Lochhead
Ezecmive DIreCIOr
Michael B. Long
Division Dnector
This letter serves as clarification to the modification notice
issued for NOV C-95-005.
1. Visual inspections of the slide area adjacent to the West Pit
Pond are limited to the weekdays. Weekend and holiday
inspections are exempted from inspecting under NOV C-95-005.
2. Slide movement may be reported to the Division every other day
by phone and/or fax. Once again, the inspections shall only
be reported to the Division on weekdays.
3. Definition of "substantial movement" is dependant on how much
movement occurs each day. For example, if the slide is
creeping 2 inches a day and then jumps to 1 foot, that is
considered substantial movement. When in doubt, notify the
Division.
4. The current level of water in the West Pit Sediment Pond at
this time is adequate. No additional pumping is required.
Please call if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
~.
1~~~~~
Erica S.
