the well in bedrock. A drillers log is available at the Colorado Division of Water Resources and well
permit #32883. Photos were taken of the well and the information on the sampling event is included in
this letter. Information concerning the well was obtained from conversations with Kazen and Ralph
Topper.
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) Water Quality Control
Division, ground-water permit guidance suggested monitoring well sampling protocol was used for
collecting the sample from the well.
Topper Well at 8125 E.104te Ave
Water Level
Total Depth
Water Column
Well Diameter
Well volume
Pump capacity
Total volume of water removed
Date time level checked
34.3
85 feet
50.7 feet
1 foot 'l
20.7 gallons ~
150 gallons/min i
825 gallons 40 well volumes ~
8/20/03 4:20 PM
SamnlinE the Lake on the Jeronimus Property
The lazgest lake located in the east central portion of the Jeronimus property was sampled on August 6,
2003. CDPHE laboratory supplied sample containers were used to collect the samples. The Jeronimus
property was accessed from Brighton Blvd approximately one-quarter mile south of 104`" Avenue. A
boat dock is located at the end of the access road and was used for sampling. The samples were taken
offthe boat dock at the fi~~-thest pcint from the shore where the water was apprcxL*nately 4-6 feet deep.
Containers were immersed approximately one foot below the water level and opened allowing water to
fill the bottles. The caps were placed on top after the bottles were full.
The samples were placed into a Styrofoam "cooler" box provided by the laboratory. The box contained
frozen ice packs. The samples were submitted to the CDPHE Laboratory within hours from when the
samples were taken. Standard chain of custody procedures were used for the collection and delivery of
the samples to the laboratory.
Results and Conclusion
__ __ The water well on the TogRer proper and the lake on he Ieronimus Property were sampled and _ _
submitted laboratory analysis using standazd protocols and chain of custody procedures. The results of
the laboratory analysis show that DIMP was not found above $:e method detection limit of 5 µg/L.
Yours truly,
NiOLEN & ASSOC ES, LLC
t.~J
Mazk A.
