Pond 13-7: Ford 13-7 overlies Panel A+ which was mimed in early 1992. Retreat mining in of Panel A+ was o~leted in mid-March 1992. A sufficient hydrology database consisting of flow, water level, field parameter, arri water quality information had been established prior to 1993 to define the pre-mining hydrology at this location. During 1993, no additional mining activities with the potential of creating detectable impacts oaau red in the vicinity of Porri 13-7. Currently this pond is required to be monitored quarterly for flows, field parameters, aryl water levels; annually for water quality. As compared to cw.-rent requirements, no monitoring omissions occurred during 1993 with the possible exception that a water quality sample was not obtained in the spring as no flows were oocurri~ on May 27, 1993 when the site was first visited; two additional water level, flow, and field parameter visits ooc~sred in 1993. In 1994, monitoring at this location was initiated May 13 and again no flows were observed emanating frwn the porn which was appm~cimately 3/4 full. Pond 13-8: Pond 13-8 overlies an area of the East mine inactive since 1981. Pena 13-8 is a very small porri which typically dries up early.
