Operating Without a Parmlt <br />Dear Mr. Goldman: <br />On May 16, 1976 I made an inspection of Garfield County gravel <br />mining operations located an your property. Further discussions <br />rich the County oa Juae 8, 1978 indicated that they were claiming <br />no responsibility for permitting or reclaiming the mineral area. <br />Unfortunately I have been unable to reach you by telephone since <br />that time. Sand and gravel operations have been required to be <br />permitted since 1973 by State lar (CRS 34-32, amended in 1976). <br />As each the operations I observed clearly represent a violation of <br />the Statute and will be reported to the Colorado M1ned Land Recla- <br />mation Board. <br />Your case rill ba heard by the Board oa June 28. 1978. If you rich <br />to be present, please give me a call so I may arsaage a specific <br />time and enewer any further quea0loaa you may have. Bdditionally, <br />I am enclosing permit application forms and a photocopy of the limited <br />impact provisions of our current regulatlone.
