Miller, in his examination of over 100 polished sections of Cash and
Freiburg vein material, as well as thin section and/or petrographic
analyses of over 50 specimens of both fresh and altered granite-
granodiorite from the vicinity of the Cash mine noted the following:
Vein Material (Ore): According to Miller, the approximate volumetric
mineral abundance (on a visual examination basis) is such that
chalcopyrite, galena, and marcasite are present only in trace or very
minor quantities. Sphalerite is more common as 1 to 2°k of the metallics,
while pyrite is present as 2 to 6% of metallics. It is Miller's opinion that
°the potential of...the vein material from the Cash Mine to produce acid
mine waters is minimal."
Wall Rock Material: Based on his examinations, Miller's opinion relative
to wall rock is such that he °did not detect widespread disseminated
sulfides in the wall rocks° and that "the potential of...the wall rods material
from the Cash Mine to produce acid mine waters is minimal.°
Toxic Producing Materials: No known toxic materials are anticipated to
be encountered or produced under normal circumstances as a result of
the Cash and Who Do mine operations. This is attributable to the mode
of occurrence of the mineral¢ation, its refractory nature, and the relative
insolubility of the othennrise potentially acid generating constituents
present.
(I) Hydrologic Balance
The Cash and Who Do Mine Project will not have any signficant effect on
the site speck or regional hydrologic balance due to the characteristics
of the proposed operations.
The relatively small disturbance footprint associated with underground
mining activity will result in minimal to no direct impact to surtace water
flow or the associated hydrologic balance. Where practicable, surface
water diversions wilt be utilized to prelude surface water contact with
areas of disturbance. Such diversions, where employed, will merely re-
route flows around localized areas. surtace flow from all disturbance
areas at the site will continue to report to Cash Gulch.
(m) Ore Processing
The Mount Royale Adit(s) will produce only run-of-mine gold/silver ore.
Produced ore will be transported directly to the Gold Hill Mifl for crushing,
grinding, and subsequent processing by flotation and gravity separation
methods. The Gold Hill Mill is permitted under MLRD Pernik No. M-94-
117.
If market conditions allow, decorative granite rock may also be produced
as a saleable product. Any further processing assocated with the
decorative rock would occur at an offske, non-associated facility.
Exhibit C - MIMng Plan 7
