Permitted Acreage Currently Permitted: 3.69 acres
- Cash Mine: 2.26 ac. (Mine area arM roadways)
- Who Do Mine: 1.43 ac, (Mine area antl roadways)
As Prooosed: 9.83 acres
- Cash Mine Area: 2.76 as (Modified Mine Area)
- Who Do Area: 2.42 as (MOdifietl Mine Nea end Roadways)
- Mount Royale Area: 4.65 ac. (New Mine Area arM St. Jae Sulaarea)
Recent exploration activity conducted at the Cash Mine and on
associated properties has confirmed the economic viability of reactivating
underground mining operations in conjunction with Mount Royale
Ventures, LLC's proposed Cash and Who Do Mine Project. The purpose
of this Amendment is to incorporate an alternative method for ore removal
and modify the existing permit area boundary delineations and acreages.
The Amendment reflects Mount Royale Ventures, LLC's inclusion of that
area associated with an active prospecting (exploration) ad'R and other
areas of potential operational interest into Permit No. M-83-14t. With the
Amendment, the active exploration crosscut or adit (referred to as the
Mount Royale No. 1 adit) would be converted into a production adit.
Thus, the existing permit would be modfied to facilitate primary
underground mining and ore extraction through the Mount Royale No. 1
adit. The previously permitted production method incorporating hoisting
of ore through the Cash and Who Do mine shafts, and that option would
be retained. Additional acreage is required for the surface infrastructure
associated with the adit (portal area) operations. The total acreage of the
amended permit area would increas 6.14 acres (to an aggregate total
of 9.83 acres). However, the permitted area and annual production rate
would remain in conformance with MLRD Limited Impact (110) Permit
limitations (i.e., affecting less than 10 acres and extracting less than
70,000 tons per year).
4.
