Seneca Coal
Company requested a 30 day extension of the due date for abatement of the NOV. Since the
NOV was issued on Mazch 19, 1997 and I am not authorized to extend the abatement due date
beyond 90 days, the due date is being extended until June 17, 1997.
The Division's proposed approval of technical revision OS is being issued by the Division today.
Once that decision becomes final, SCC should proceed with the abatement work along RCR 27.
The abatement work in Armand Draw should recommence as soon as weather and ground
conditions allow. In the event that ground conditions are still not conducive for the abatement
work by June 17, 1997, SCC should contact the Division again.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
Sincerely,

Larry P.
