Mergers, PhD, of Merges Ecological Delineations. lIe has advised us
that the oersted wheat wiLL probably be a morn aggressive grass in the early years, but its fregtteaty will
naturally decline within un years, as based on his observations at a Wyoming ceal mine reclamation site.
The intermediate wheat grass was seeded o0 our Newlin Crodt rrrlsemdoo which has been granted Phase
III release. This grass has caused no problems on this reciaznadon and certainly did run eeadt is denial of
Phase lJI release.
Since the Energy reclamation goal is for gtavag and since we arc is the catlle business, we believe we are
qualified to also that the Indian rice gnus is unimportant for ®We grazing. Also. we wish to avoid any
additional woody stems such as salt bush and would !ilea m maxieniu the cleared areas as afforded by the
Energy ralarnatioa
Sinmrely,
W.D.
