Pickford <br />Environmental Protection Specialist <br />Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety <br />Department of Natural Resources <br />1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 <br />Denver, CO 80203 <br />Re: Western Gravel North R-34 Pit (Permit No. M-1996-008) (CHS # 49900) <br />Dear Ms. Pickford: <br />Thank you for your correspondence dated March 23, 2007 (received by our office on Mazch 28) <br />concerning the project listed above. <br />A search of the Colorado Cultural Resource Inventory indicates that the permit area was surveyed <br />for cultural resources in 1995. As a result of that survey, one prehistoric site and one isolated find <br />were identified, but neither is eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places.
