This request is in conjunction with the recently submitted Amendment to <br /> this DM G permit. Since the release of a Performance Warranty is not covered in an amendment, <br /> we are have prepared the statements covering the provisions listed in Section 4.16 of the Mineral <br /> Rules and Regulations. <br /> A copy of this document has been sent by Certified Mail to the Weld County Board of County <br /> Commissioners. The property owner is Bestway Paving Company. <br /> Bestway Paving would like to remove this area for two reasons: 1) The area of the facilities has <br /> been fully reclaimed to an industrial area as the reclamation plan states. In addition, Bestway has <br /> complied with the DMG Reclamation Performance Standards in the area to be removed and 2) Pit <br /> No. 1 is no longer their primary source of sand and gravel. At one time these facilities only <br /> served Pit No. 1. Bestway Paving has mined the majority of the sand and gravel reserves from Pit <br /> No. 1 and have opened up other pits to serve these facilities. The operator is not asking to be <br /> compensated financially with the reduction of the permit area. <br /> Enclosed is a site map of the of the current permit area and the land we would like removed from <br /> the DMG permit.
