Suile 2300 <br />410 Seventeenth Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80202 <br />1303) 825-1966 <br />April 9, 1984 <br />Mr. Robert Liddle <br />Reclamation Specialist <br />Mined Land Reclamation Division <br />Department of Natural Resources <br />1313 Sherman Street, Room 423 <br />Denver, CO 80203 <br />RE: Notice of Violation C-84-048 <br />Dear Mr. Liddle: <br />This letter is written to you pursuant to Rule 5.04.3 of the Regulations. <br />I wish to convey to you a fact concerning Notice of Violation C-84-048 that <br />came to light when Snowmass Coal Company began removing the refuse material <br />That was accidentally placed on the outslope of the refuse pile. <br />As you can see in the enclosed picture, the pile of material on the out- <br />slope of the refuse pile consisted mainly of ;now; there was approximately an <br />one-foot layer of refuse material covering this snow which gave the impression <br />that the total pile was refuse material. This being the case, the estimated <br />volume of material should be substantially reduced. <br />On April 5, 1924 the entire pile of snarl and refuse material was removed <br />from the outlsope of the refuse pile.
