Riverbend 112c Permit Amendment #1 Application, M-2000-016 AM-1, Applicants Second Request for Continuance RE: Second Continuance ofPre-hearing Conference and Formal Public Hearing, Lafarge West, Inc., Riverbend Operation, Permit No. M-20006, Amendment Application No. 01,E Dear Party and/or Interested Person: The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) has approved a request from the applicant, Lafarge West, Inc., to continue their Riverbend Amendment application to the May 11/12, 2005 Board Hearing. Therefore, staff has rescheduled the matter for Formal Public Hearing before the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board, for consideration. The new hearing date for consideration of the Riverbend Operation Amendment Application will occur during the Mav 11/12, 2005 Board meeting at 1313 Sherman Street, Room 318, Denver, Colorado, commencing at 10:00 a.rn. or as soon thereaRer as the matter can be considered. Parties and interested persons will have the opportunity to be heard. The Pre-hearing Conference has been rescheduled for AQil 29 2005 beginning at 10 a.m.., at the Mined Land Reclamation Division Office at 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado. Ms. Sandra Brown will preside as Fre-hearing Conference Officer. T'he purpose of the Pre-hearing Conference is to describe the Office's review process, to explain the rights and responsibilities of parties, to discuss and resolve issues to the extent possible, to describe the Board Hearing processes, to determine the list of issues under the Board's jurisdiction and to simplify the list, and to determine who has demonstrated standing to be a party to the Formal Board Hearing. An informational memo, dated October 2, 2001, Revised October 19,2001 and August 2, 2004, RE: Citizen Participation in the 112 Reclamation Permit Application Process was sent to you in the Division's earlier notice, dated February 11, 2005. As part of that memo t}re Division included a `Party Status Withdrawal Form". In the event that you no longer wish to continue as a formal objector, please complete this form and return it to the Division.
