Also shown is the <br />portion of an existing haulroad that will be used to remove the coal from <br />the eastern Lower Wadge azea. This road also has shown no deterioration in <br />the past years. The profile for this section is shown in Exhibit 3.5-21 <br />and 3.5-12. The section of haulroad from Center Ridge to West Ridge was <br />constructed in 1979 according to the performance standards and design <br />criteria in effect at that time. The profile for this section is shown in <br />Exhibit 3.5-18. These roads will be maintained and reclaimed according to <br />the standards set forth is Section 3.5. Culvert placement and size for <br />there roads are shown on Exhibit 3.5-22. <br />3.6.3 COAL HANDLING STRUCTURES <br />Coal is hauled from the active mining area to the hopper area by <br />trucks. The coal is then either placed in one of two coal stockpiles or <br />dumped into the hopper. The stockpiles are used in the event of breakdowns <br />or to facilitate coal blending. The coal is transferred from the stockpiles <br />to the hopper with a front-end loader. After the coal is dumped into the <br />hopper, it passes through a feeder breaker and a crusher where it is <br />reduced <br />3.6-3a May 14, 1993 <br />
