<br />1 <br />NOTICE OF FILING APPLICATION FOR TECHNICAL REVISION <br />TO AMERICAN SODA LLP'S COLORADO MINED LAND RECLAMATION <br />` PERMIT N0. M-99-002. <br />NOTICE TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />RIO BLANCO COUNTY <br />American Soda, LLP (the "Applicant/Operator") has applied for a Technical <br />Revision to its Reclamation Permit No. M-99-002 from the Colorado Mined <br />Land Reclamation Board (the "Board") to conduct mining operations in Rio <br />Blanco County. The attached Application for Technical Revision is being <br />provided to notify you of the nature of the proposed Technical Revision of <br />the terms of the above Reclamation Permit. The entire Application is on <br />file with the Division of Minerals and Geology (the "Division") and the Rio <br />Blanco County Clerk and Recorder. The purpose`of this Application for <br />Technical Revision is to incorporate into the above referenced Reclamation <br />Permit ambient groundwater data and permit conditions protective of <br />groundwater. The mine is known as the Yankee Gulch Sodium Minerals <br />Project and is located at or near Sections 15 - 22, 28 and 29, Township <br />1 South, Range 97 West of the 6°' P.M., Rio Blanco County, Colorado. <br />The applicant/operator proposes to reclaim the affected land to <br />agricultural and wildlife habitat use. Pursuant to Section 34-32-116(7)(j), <br />C.R.S., the Board is required to confer with the local Board of County <br />Commissioners before approving the suggested Technical Revision. <br />Accordingly, the Board would appreciate your comments on the proposed <br />Application for Technical Revision.
