(BMRI) - San Luifs
DMG Permit No. M-88-112
Reclaim Tank Overflow Line
Soil Sample Analysis Reports
Dear Mr. Oehler:
As discussed in BMRI's October 12, 1993 letter to th
Division concerning the reclaim water tank overflow ine,
four soil samples were collected of the clay where t e
overflow water ponded within the tailings disposal a ea.
Also, two soil samples were collected where the over low
water ponded in the mill area. The samples were collected
6-8 inches below the surface. The samples were ship ed to
Core Laboratories for cyanide (total and wad) analysis.
The analysis reports show cyanide concentrations (to al and
wad) to be non-detectable at the groundwater and dri ing
water standard of 0.2 ppm. The analysis indicates t at the
tertiary containment structure successfully prevente the
overflow reclaim water from causing "detrimental imp t to
the surface water and groundwater of the project area and
vicinity." The analysis reports are enclosed.
If you have any questions, please call.
Sincerely,
QQa,.4~ S~-
Alana L.
