As you know, we have been poised to start seeding the site and have been
delayed by weather conditions throughout May, and by the recent earthwork involving removal of the
catch basins. Along with the catch basin removal we have recently regraded portions of the south
slope of the refuse pile and the upper substation pad azea in response to issues resulting from the
Phase I inspection.
Items we discussed aze summarized below.
o Due to the late season, EFMC will incorporate oat seed with the approved seed mix to
provide a cover crop. The oat seed will applied at a rate of approximately 10 lbs. per acre.
The oats should provide erosion control and contribute organic matter to the soil at the end of
the first growing season.
The center of the original facilities azea, or "flat azea", has been partially re-worked during
the catch basin removal project. During seeding, this azea will be disced similaz to the
surrounding azeas, and mulched.
Weather permitting, we will initiate seeding at the end of this week or beginning of next. Please
contact me if you have any questions or concerns regazding our pending plans.
Sincerely,
Energy Fuels Mining Company
C
Allen S.
