Box 33695 <br />Denver, CO 80233-0695 <br />Re: Gravel Pit Expansion, Del Norte Pit <br />Dear Mr. Knutson, <br />Southway Construction Company owns land (Del Norte Gravel Pit) in Section 21, Township 40 <br />North, Range 6 East, New Mexico P.M., Rio Grande County, Colorado, that is crossed by Tri- <br />State's San Luis to Ramon transmission line. In 1998, we had a letter agreement with Tri-State <br />for our expansion at that time for the western portion of the pit. <br />W~ are proposing to move and expand this pit operation to the eastern portion of this property <br />and aze requesting another letter agreement with Tri-State containing clearance, setback and <br />access requirements for a compatible use with your facility. Attached are drawing plans for the <br />pit expansion and a copy of the 19981etter agreement with Tri-State. <br />We wish to ensure that our planned operations have no potential to adversely affect your <br />facilities.
