The following measures have been employed during mine operation:

1) Protection of air quality will be maintained by having sprays on all crushing and screening
equipment and watering roads (ot application of magnesium chloride) as necessary, the Trust has not
had problems with air permits in the past on this site.
2) All aeeas where the vegetal material has been removed to facilitate the operations will be sprinkled
with water during periods when vehicles are passing through and/or the areas will be seeded to
grasses, or they may be hazd surfaced.
3)Disturbance of wildlife may occur during the mining and reclamation activities of the undisturbed
portions of the gold mine activity. However, the disturbance will be mitigated to the extent possible
by minimizing the amount of acreage (3 cuts maximum) disturbed at any one time where the oldest
cut is being reclaimed. All roads, powerlines, facilities and stmctures required to conduct the
mining/reclamation operations will be designed and constructed to prevent the entrapment of, or
~) injury to, the wildlife species. Road traffic control will be enforced to prevent injury or death to
wildlife by moving vehicles.
4) The reclamation operation will produce wetlands and revegetated open space which does not
currently exist on the property. These aeeas will enhance wildlife use of the site.
A Wildlife Questionnaire was filed with the CDOW in 1985 for the permit application. This submittal
and response from CDOW is given in Appendix C, which discusses items addressed above.
~~
Alma Placer 7/03 64
