<br />Memo to Jim Pendleton <br />TR-007 Adequacy Recommendation <br />page 2 <br />Comment #7 <br />see comment #1. <br />Comment #8 <br />The Division is satisfied with Battle Mountain's response to this issue. <br />Comment #9 <br />Battle Mountain indicates that copper in solution will precipitate as <br />"insoluble" copper minerals upon the addition of H O Battle Mountain has <br />committed to analyzing for copper in the pond so~u~ions. <br />In conclusion, I recommend that TR-007 be approved, with the following <br />stipulation: <br />It is understood that the addition of hydrogen peroxide as a treatment for <br />lowering the weak acid dissociable cyanide and copper concentrations is a <br />temporary solution, to be applied only until the INCO SOZ/Air process is <br />approved and installed. The HZOZ system shall not be used sifter October <br />15, 1992, without express written permission from the Division. <br />M:\MIN\TR007.mem <br />
