This maintenance consisted of aroad-grader smoothing the
roadway, pulling gravel material (pushed off during snow removal activities) back onto the road
surface, and reinforcing the tow water crossings. Routine maintenance on the low water
crossings was performed prior to April 7, primarily consisting of drainage establishment and
material placement.
TCC also wishes to clarify some comments made by Mr. Fritz in his inspection report (received
by us on April 15, 1991) concerning the access road. First, Mr. Fritz states that he questions
the alleged lack of gravel in the road base, and the next sentence says "I was told that it was
temporary and would be taken care of as soon as the azea dried out." TCC wishes to emphasize
that this pertains to the statement that the road conditions were temporary and that the area
would be maintained when things dried out somewhat, not that we were planning to haul in
gravel as conditions allowed.
Second, Mr. Fritz made the statement than runoff from the road is not subject
control. This is not true. Approximately 60% of the runoff from the road is i
to Pond M, while the remaining flow for the most par[ runs off to a stockpond
a substantial vegetative f Iter.
Should you have any questions, please contact me at your convenience.
Sincerely,
Marcus A.
