Seeding will normally be done in the fall and/or spring when temperatures and adequate soli moisture are <br />present. Seeding will be accomplished by either broadcasting, or by using a seed dell. If broadcastrig isused, <br />seed rates will be tloubled Due to the nature of the backhll material and topsoil found in the area, hay, straw a <br />fiber mulch is considered to be necessary Mulching will be accomplished wdh a clean weed- free straw at a <br />rate of 2000 pounds per acre either crimped or "tacfiied- at 150 pounds per acre -Biosol' fertilizer will be <br />applied at a rate of at least 1000 pounds per acre. <br />WEED CONTROL - tl necessary. weed control measures will be employed for control of any nowous weed <br />species, Control measures will also be used if the growth of weed species on the reclaimed area threatens <br />further spread of the weeds to nearby areas. In the event that weed control is required. herbicides will be of <br />those that are approved by the Soil Conservation Service and applied by a Ikensed herbicide applier A Weed <br />Control Plan will t>e utilized as follows <br />^ Asemi-annual inspection of all disturbed areas by framed weed control personnel. <br />^ Treat any identffied 'infested areas wRh a herbicide recommended by the local weed control authority. <br />^ Inspect the infested area after 2 weeks and re-apply herbicide as required. <br />^ Inspect the site at 4-week intervals after the second inspection and re-treat as required <br />^ Any weed control refuse left from prevrous year's growth will be burned on site. <br />Rev 09J10r03 <br />
