Seeding will normally be done in the fall and/or spring when temperatures and adequate sod moisture are <br />present Seeding will be accomplished by either broadcasting, or by using a seed drill If broadcasting ~ used, <br />seed rates will be doubled. Due to the nature of the packfill material and topsoil found in the area, hay. straw or <br />fiber mulch is considered to be necessary. Mulching will be accomplished with a clean weed- free straw at a <br />rate of 2000 pounds per acre either camped or'tacified' at 150 pounds per acre. 'Biosol' fertilizer will be <br />applied at a rate of at least 1000 pounds per acre. <br />WEED CONTROL - If necessary. weed control measures will be employed for control of any no>oous weed <br />species. Control measures unit also be used d the growth of weed species on the reclaimed area Threatens <br />further spread of the weeds to nearby areas. In the event that weed control a required, herbicides will be of <br />those that are approved by the Sod Conservation Service and applied by a licensed herbicide applier A Weed <br />Control Plan will be utilized as follows <br />^ Asemi-annual inspection of all disturbed areas by trained weed control personnel. <br />^ Treat any ufentified 'infested areas with a herbicide recommended by the local weed control authority. <br />^ Inspect the infested area after 2 weeks and re-apply herbicide as required. <br />^ Inspect the site at 4-week intervals after ttie second Inspection and re-Ueat as required <br />^ Any weed control refuse left from prevaus year's growth will be burned on sde <br />Rev OtiliQgl <br />
