The TR-OOI application requests appttaval to install inlet and ourlee <br />structures ai the porimeter of the eastctn most of tho 131ma Rrnch gravel pits. Thcsc attucttlres are <br />intended to non-erosively peon over barilc flood flows from floe Yampa River, up to the 100-year Flood <br />flows, ihroiagh the pit The inlet eauctttre is to be installed into as eroded notch is Tlta oastertt berm <br />where .flood IIows overtopped the berm in the sprixtg of 2003; the outlet struchae will be located <br />directly across the pit to the west. <br />The DMG has no problems or issues with the design drawings eubmittcd with the TR-001 application. <br />However, we are usable to review tLe adequacy of the structures to safely pass the design 100-year <br />IIood IIows without the hydrology sad hydraulic ia£ottaatioa that form xbn basis of the dcsign_ In <br />particular, what arc the anticipated Clow rates sad velocities through the struciurea during a 100-year <br />IIood. and what were the analyses coaducYCd to deteraaiuc these design paramatarsT <br />The decision: dare established by DMG for TR-001 is February 9, 2004.
