(iii) State the species to be planted and applicable quantities:
Species Variety #/Acre PLS
Crested Wheatgrass Nordan 2.0
Western Wheatgrass Arriba 3.0
Intermediate Wheatgrass Tegmar 3.0
Indian ricegrass Nezpar 5.0
13.0 #/PLS
(iv) Application method for grass seeding:
The seed will be applied by a drill with a competent agitator. It will
be drilled across slope on the backslopes. If seed should be broadcast,
the rate will be doubled.
(v) Mulch, if necessary, and rates of application:
Straw or grass mulch will be applied and crimped in at the rate of
4,000#/A as recommended.
(vi) Establishment method for each species of shrub or tree:
No shrubs or trees are proposed for this wide-open rangeland area.
(d) Specify which ponds, streams, roads and buildings will remain after
reclamation:
The proposed recharge as described in this reclamation plan will remain. The
haul road will remain to act as a maintenance access for the recharge basin and
high-voltage electric lines.
(e) Specify the reclamation treatment of any waste rock dumps, tailing
impoundments. underground mine openings, ditches, sediment control facilities,
buildings and other features not addressed:
This will be an open-pit surface mining operation. All rocks will be used in
production so there will be no waste rock. There will be no dumps, tailing
impoundments, underground mine openings, ditches, sediment control facilities,
buildings or any other features not involved in this narrative involved in any way
in this operation.
A low earthen berm will be established to keep all stormwater on-site, this will
minimize disturbance to the hydrologic balance, and prevent off-site damage.
This will help provide a stable configuration consistent with the proposed future
land use.
