Introduction
The following materials represent an application to amend DMG 112 Reclaznation Permit
M-2001-085. There are three elements to the proposed amendment, described as follows.
1. At the request of the Division, the Applicant wishes to incorporate land currently
covered by 110 Limited Impact Permit No. M-2002-113 into the acreage of the
124`h Estates Sand and Gravel Mine, while incorporating all provisions of M-
2002-113 into M-2001-085.
2. M-2002-113 covers an access road from 120th Avenue to the mining azea. In the
Adams County conditional use approval process, the Boazd of County
Commissioners approved this access route for use only until the start of the 2004
construction season. Afrer this time the access route can be used only with a
different crossing of the Fulton Ditch. The proposed amendment will add 0.4
acres to M-2001-085 for a bridge across the Fulton Ditch to connect the mine site
to the access route currently covered by M-2002-113.
3. Contingent upon receipt of all necessary approvals, the Applicant has agreed to
deepen a portion of a lake on adjacent property owned by the Henderson Water
Ski Club, LLC. The proposed amendment would allow dredging of
approximately 40,000 cubic yazds of sand and squeegee material from the lake,
which is a historic mine. This project will provide more maneuverability for
water ski boats, while the dredged material will be pumped directly onto land
owned by the Applicant, where it will be stockpiled, and ultimately, sold and
transported from the mining site.
Exhibit A -Legal Description of the Affected Land
All land involved in the proposed amendment is within the S W '/o S W '/4 Section 35,
Township 1 South, Range 67 West of the 6`h p.m. near Henderson in Adams County,
Colorado.
The access route covered by M-2002-113 lies primarily within Lot 2 of the Corrigan
Subdivision, which is owned by the Applicant.
