A new access road has been constructed. This is the primary and preferred <br />access for this operation. The road has been paved with asphalt. The road has been <br />approved by the Montrose County Board of County Commissioners and by the Montrose <br />County Road and Bridge Department. <br />During a phone conversation with Mr. Bruce Humpheries of the Colorado Division of <br />Minerals and Geology on August S, 2002, the procedure and fee for this Amendment was <br />set out. The procedures for describing the application, notification of the public, review <br />of the application and decision making will be as required for an Amendment. The fee for <br />this application will be the same as a Technical Revision, $188.00. The new access road <br />location has eliminated haul truck traffic for 18 residential properties located along the <br />original access route. <br />United Companies has completed all of the required notifications except publication of <br />the notice in the Montrose newspaper and the required mailing of this notice to adjacent <br />landowners and other interested parties as described in Rule 1.6.2(1)(e).
