Dear Mr. James Dillie:
The owner of the above well is listed as Ms. Helen Joan Prijatel. Her address is shown as 1917
E. Abriendo, Pueblo, Colorado. I went to this address on May 24, 2002. The gentleman who
resided at this address was Ray Hegler. He told me that he had lived there for the past 14 years.
I think that the original Mraovich Family could have lived here many years ago. It was a very
large family. Tom Brubaker, who is the owner of Valco, Inc., told me that when his family
purchased the property on the east side of Pueblo from the Mraovich family, eight separate
checks had to be written for all of the heirs.
On June 3, 2002, I again visited with Ms. Katherine Mraovich, who lives at 320 25th Lane. Well
No. 90000 is located at the base of the hill, approximately 400 feet east of her house where she
has resided for over thirty years. This property was originally owned by George Mraovich, who
was the father of her deceased husband, Matt Mraovich, who passed away in 1974. She told me
that the above well was used by her and her husband for a dairy that they had on [heir property,
which was located north of her existing residence. Also, their was a house that used this water,
but is no longer there. The well is no longer operational and is not being used. All that is left of
the structure is some old lumber and the remains of some disconnected power line. She explained
to me that Ms. Helen Prijatel was her sister in law. She gave me her address as 2032 Pine Street,
Pueblo, Colorado.
I contacted Ms. Prijatel on Monday afternoon, June 3, 2002. Ms. Prijatel told me that the she
had nothing to do with the well and did not know how her name was on anything. She said that
the area around the well was sold to Valco, Inc. many years ago and that it probably belongs to
them. She again stated that it was not her well and that I should talk to Ms. Mraovich, since her
family were the people who had used the well and it might belong to them.
