Long <br />Nucla, Colorado 81424 Division Director <br />RE: West End Gravel Pft, Permit No. M-1994-011, Technical Revision No. 2 Approval <br />Dear Mr. Sutherland: <br />On April 16, 2002, the Division of Minerals ahd Geology (DMG) approved West End Gravel Company's <br />application for Technical Revision No. 2 (TR-02} to Permit No. M-1994-011 for the West End Gravel Pit. <br />The revision addresses revised seeding plans and deletes fencing requirements and addresses revised <br />reclamation Costs associated with those changes. The provisions of TR-02 are hereby Considered to <br />be a binding part of Permit No. M-1994-011. All other conditions of the permit remain in full force and <br />effect. <br />The reclamation cost estimate for this operation was recalculated to incorporate the provisions of TR- <br />02. A copy of the estimate is enclosed. As you can see from the calculations, it appears that the site <br />is significantly under-bonded. Therefore. pursuant to Section 34-32.5-117(41 of the Colorado Land <br />Please review the enclosed figures as soon as possible and contact our office if you feel any of the <br />calculations are in error. Please be aware, the financial warranty must be received AND APPROVED <br />by DMG no later. than May 16, 2002.
