i; <br />DUST ABATEMENT PLAN <br />RIVERBEND PIT <br />This plan is for our Riverbend Pit located in West 1/2 of Section 19, Township l North, <br />Range 66 West of the 6`~ P.M., Weld County, on Highway 6, west of Highway 85. <br />Adequate soil moisture will be maintained in topsoil and overburden to control <br />emissions during removal. Watering shall be implemented if necessary. <br />2. Topsoil and overburden stockpiles shall be compacted and revegetated within one <br />year. <br />Emissions from material handling (i.e. removal, loading, and hauling) shall be <br />controlled by watering at all times unless natural moisture is sufficient to control <br />emissions. <br />4. Vehicle speed on unpaved roads and disturbed areas shall not exceed a maximum <br />of 2fl m.p.h. Speed limit signs shall be posted. <br />Unpaved haul roads shall be watered and/or a chemical stabilizer applied as often <br />as needed to control fugitive particulate emissions. <br />Reclamation works and sequential extraction of material shall be initiated to keep <br />the iota] disturbed azeas at any one time to a minimum. <br />Material stockpiles shall be watered as necessazy to control fugitive particulate <br />emissions. Aggregate materials shall be sprayed with water during material <br />loading into the storage bins or stockpiles if necessary. <br />The entrance to the plant site will be paved. <br />
