Walther
Executive Director
Ronald W. Cottony
Acting Division Director
The Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) received your request to withdraw the
amendment application which had been submitted to expand the Coaldale Pit. It appeazs Fremont
County does not want to expand the Coaldale pit but, instead, wishes to expand an old terminated
pit (M-1984-117) which is north of Coaldale (the Coaldale pit, M-1978-096, is southwest of
Coaldale). Therefore, the County has withdrawn the amendment application.
This is to acknowledge that the DMG received the withdrawal request and has terminated any
and all reviews of the amendment application.
If you have any questions, please give me a call at 303-866-4060.
Sincerely,
James Dillie
Environmental Protection Specialist
cc: Harry Posey (e-mail)
