Cottony
Division Director
Natural Resource Trustee
The Division received your second adequacy response regazding Technical Revision (TR-04) for the Roberts
Quarry, Permit No. M-1977-301. Pete Lien & Sons intends to reclaim the stockpile azea D where it currently
exists, and use a portion of the pile (approximately 200,000 to 300,000) to reclaim additional disturbance in
azeas of Section 27.
The Division revised the reclamation cost estimate for the Roberts Quarry to reflect the current disturbance and
achieve the approved reclamation plan. The Division used aerial photographs, inspection notes, and
information in the mining and reclamation plan to determine volumes, distances and grades. The Division's
estimate totals $563,666.00. Please see attached cost estimate for further detail.
If you have any comments regarding the estimate or aze able to provide information to support different
assumptions, please do so prior to the Division's decision due date of September 24, 2004. If you feel more
time is needed to complete your reply, the Division can grant an extension to the decision date. This will be
done upon receipt of a written waiver of your right to a decision by September 24, 2004 and request for
additional time. This must be received no later than the deadline date.
