The current abatement deadline for this NOV is Monday, April
30th.
Abatement of this NOV required Seneca to remove the blasted
material/flyrock from the undisturbed areas. Because of the
steepness of the slope that most of this material was deposited
on and the fact that until all snow cover has melted and the
ground conditions dry out, Seneca has been unable to do the
necessary work. Once ground conditions allow, equipment and
operator safety is no longer in jeopardy, and the equipment can
work and maneuver without causing further unnecessary damage, we
will conduct the remedial work required. Therefore, I am asking
for a 60-day extension of the current deadline to June 29th.
cho„t_d yn,.~ or any other members of the Division have any
questions regarding this information, please do not hesitate to
contact me.
Sincerely,
~~ ~. ~~
Michael G.
