RECLAMATION PLAN
1. General Reclamation Plan
EXHIBIT E
The pre-mining site was historically used for irrigated field for many years. The post-mining plan
results in two lakes and some perimeter flat azea. The post-mining land use is wildlife habitat for the
lakes and the wetland fringe and rangeland for the azeas above the lakes. Many lazge cottonwoods
in the permit area will be avoided and will remain after reclamation. It is possible that portions of
the site, particulazly the azea east of the main lake, that could be used for residential development at
a later date, however, rangeland is planned at this time. The wetland fringe is a zone 15 feet wide
that will be planted with specific wetland plants to enhance the fringe of the lake for wildlife use.
The table below shows the reclamation of the 31.4 acres of disturbed azeas for the site.
Disturbed Area Acreage Topsoil Placed Overburden Post-Mining Use
Placed
Main Lake and slope 24.6 7" from 5' below Place any Rangeland/Wildlife
above lake water level to the excess at Habitat with fringe
top bottom wetland
Augmentation Pond and 1.0 None None Irrigated Hay Pasture
Fringe
Other Areas such as 4.5 6" to 9" with None Rangeland/Wildlife
sediment pond, perimeter average of 7" Habitat
around lake and stockpile
area
Road Area and Power 1.3 None None Keep road access
pole access
Total 31.4
North R-34 Pit I/07
11
