The <br />purpose of this inspection was to identify existing drainage patterns/structures, evaluate <br />areas of concern identified in the CMLAD's letter of 23 October 1990, and discussed <br />in the subsequent 2 November 1990 meeting, and develop appropriate drainage <br />remediation plans. <br />The existing drainage system consists of the following features as shown on Figure 1, <br />Lower Pit 5 and Access Road -Present Drainage Configuration; <br />1) A natural drainage approximately 150' north of Pit 5 <br />2) Grassy Creek, which parallels the Pit 1 access road on the east side of the <br />Pit 5 area <br />3) Disturbed area collection ditches on the north side of Pit 5 ,• <br />4) Access road collection ditches paralleling the Pit 5 access road ~ ~ <br />5) Contour furrows on the Pft 5 basin area and a contour ditch on the ~ E <br />northeast corner of the reclaimed area adjacent to the Pit 5 access road <br />6) A small undesignated culvert carrying flows from the north collection ditch <br />to Culvert 5-4 <br />7) Culvert 5-4 which carries disturbed area drainage under the Pit 5 access ,~' <br />road <br />8) The disturbed area collection ditch connecting Culvert 5-4 with Pond 5/6 <br />9) Pond 5/6 <br />10) tJndisiurbed area diversion ditches on the west and north sides of Pit 5 <br />and west and south sides of Pit 6 <br />i t) Culvert 5-3 which carries undisturbed area drainage and natural drainage `• <br />under a light use road <br />12) The undisturbed area diversion ditch connecting Culvert 5-3 with Culvert <br />5-2 which discharges to Grassy Creek ~,~ ~~, ~,~ <br /> <br />
