Fgure 2, U.S. Bureau of Public Roads <br />Nomograph, illustrates the procedure used to size the culverts. Culvert <br />locations are shown on the Reclaimed Topography (1990) & Bond Release <br />Documentation Map. <br />Riprapped Road Crossing <br />Sections of ditches 5-3 and 56-1 will be lined with riprap (D„ = 3 inches) where <br />they cross the access road between Pits 5 and 6, and will function as California <br />Crossings. The riprapped sections will protect the ditches from being damaged <br />by vehicular traffic. The ditch sideslopes will be layed back to an approximate <br />SH:1 V slope to aid travel across the ditches. The subject sections are shown <br />on the Reclaimed Topography (1990) 8 Bond Release Documentation Map. <br /> <br />18 <br />
