The proposed pit and <br />processing facility is located west of the La Salle Road intersection with US Highway 50. <br />Montrose County has reviewed and approved United Companies' application for a <br />Special Use Permit for this site (SU-99-1154). Access Permit AP213001 has been issued <br />by Montrose County for this new access road. <br />One of the requirements necessary to file for a Reclamation Permit is that United <br />Companies place a copy of the Amendment application at the Montorse County Clerk <br />and Recorder's office at the time that the application is filed with the Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board. The copy of the Reclamation Permit application placed at the <br />Recorder's office is for review by the public. The copy of the Amendment Permit <br />application for the Spring Creek Pit access road that is attached to this letter is the <br />required copy. <br />Also required by the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board is proof that a copy of the <br />permit application was placed at the Montrose County Clerk and Recorder's office. <br />Please sign and date each of the two copies of this letter. United Companies will use one <br />of these signed letters as proof of service of this notification.
