HF'R 16 '92 11~.~Rhl
i
MEMORANDUM
T0: BMO, San Luis
FROM: T.C. Shutt -rrS
DATE: April 16, 1892
SUBJECT: Addendum to Chemical Analytical Matrix
F.6
I am hoping that we now have the final design for the chemical analytical matrix.
I met with MLRD personnel (15th April) and discussed our matrix d sign (of 14th
April). Their suggestions have keen incorporated into the attached matrix (dated
16th April) and include the following additions:
1. Once a week take a sample from the collector pond and anal ze for total
cyanide and WAD cyanide.
2. On the Monday and Wednesday samples (which are also tested by outside labs)
also analyze the collector pond sample for WAD and Cu. I
This matrix (18th April) will be reviewed one more time by MLRD bel4are they give
us final approval.
After discussions with Blaine Olson, I believe that I should explai~ (to clarify)
a few points in the analytical matrix.
1. The "As is" samples taken on Monday and Wednesday, need anal zing for free
(CN)~ SiD..IX•
2. The "pH Adjusted" should be fully analyzed according to thematrix.
3. The "As is" samples shall be taken on Wednesday, 15th Apr11 already done)
and Monday, 20th Apr11 only. After that e11 samples taken n Mondays and
Wednesdays shall be "pH Adjusted" only. In other words - dr p the "As is"
sampling on Wednesday, 22nd Aprit.
4. When analyzing the Monday and Wednesday samples (on Wednesr~ay and Friday
respectively) the pH and free (CN)~ pust be analysed on the collhrect day; the
WAD and metale can be measured later if you run out oP time

~/
