4FR 16 '92 11~33Ar1 <br /> <br />J <br />P.3 <br />(c) Those samples that are to be analyzed by BMG and third-p$rties shall be <br />obtained on Monday and Wednesday each week, as follows: <br />1. Take a 5 8a11on (full) sample from 3 sites as follo~s: <br />(a) Pre-Detox <br />(b) Spicket <br />(c) Tailings Pond <br />2. Take the samples between 8-9 AM. <br />3. Filter all solids from the samples; this should leave remaining <br />liquid at 10 liters. <br />a. Immediately measure pH on s11 3 samples. <br />5. Sp11t these filtered samples as follows [for each ott (a), (b), and <br /> (c)I~ ' <br /> (i) Bp11t the filtered sample into approx. 2 aqua parts. <br /> (ii) Part 1- Take g sample bottles and fill them f 1 . <br /> (iii) Part - (a) Bring Part 2 to a pH of 11.8 b adding a 25% <br /> solution of NaOH. <br /> (b) Thoroughly mix. <br /> (c) Take ~, sample bottles and fill th m full. <br /> These bottles shall be marked: <br /> i "AS is" - 1 Adjusted <br /> 2 "As is" - 2 Adjusted j <br /> 3 or 4 "As is" - 3 or 4 Adjusted <br /> to correspond with 1, 2, and 3 or 4 on the "Daily Log of <br /> Analytical Results." 3 or 4 will designate which pond is <br /> receiving the tailings. <br />6. Take one of the "AS is," [Part t) bottles and anaty~ e according to <br /> the "Dally Log of Analytical Results." i <br />7. Keep one "AS is" and one "pH Adjusted" bottle. <br />8. Send two "As is" and two "pH Adjusted" bottles, UP5 o ernight direct <br /> to Acculab and Analytica. These bottle shall arriv on Wednesday <br /> for the Monday sample, and Friday for the Wednesday sample. <br />9. Analyze your 2 retained samples commencing oh wed esday for the <br /> Monday sample and Friday for the Wednesday sample. <br />10. Third-party labs will analyze at the same time. ~ <br />eEs <br />
